ROUGHOUT
True roughout leather boots, much like a cowboy’s good roughout saddle, are
simply utilizing the reverse side of a natural, full grain leather. It offers all the
durability of a full grain leather, but produces a much punchier, and old school
cowboy look. The leather will attract dirt and dust and naturally burnish from
wear, making each pair of boots unique to its owner in time.

CARE
Regular cleaning will help roughout boots last longer. Be sure to let boots dry after exposure to wet and muddy conditions. Use a horsehair boot brush to remove debris before cleaning the leather. Never condition the leather. We recommend Bickmore’s Suede & Nubuck Cleaner or a suede eraser.

      All your Boot Questions Answered

Choose your normal shoe size. HYER boots fit true to US sizing.
      ■ Be conscious of your sock – thin or thick. This can make a difference when
      trying on boots.
      ■ In between sizes - we recommend the ½ size larger.
      ■ Narrow foot – we recommend to either size down or choose your true size in
regular width (size B for women’s and size D for men’s).
      ■ Wide foot – we recommend to either size up or choose the wide widths
available (size C for women’s, and size EE for men’s).
      ■ Your size should fit the same across all silhouettes.

The fit of our styles are traditional and straightforward. There should be very slight resistance when pulling them on
and zero resistance once you’re “through the turn”.
      ■ You should feel slippage in the heel area and comfortable conformity in the instep.
      ■ Both toe profiles are most common and stylish today in authentic western and the most comfortable for everyday use.
      ■ These styles were made for the working cowboy and cowgirl while keeping modern function and diverse use in mind.
      ■ HYER boots fit true to size. When deciding what size, you should go off your normal shoe size.

Please refer to our Fit & Size Guide

It is best to try boots on carpet so that the soles do not scuff should you need to return.
      ■ Slip your foot into the boot. You should feel a POP when your heel slides past the
      counter and onto the insole.
      ■ Validate the heel lift. You should be able to lift your heel but not a whole lot. The leather
will shape to your heel and hold it in place over time.
      ■ The ball of your foot should hit the widest section of the boot for added comfort.
      ■ Your arch should feel a bit snug. The leather will stretch as the boot forms to your foot.
      ■ Check the flawless fit and comfort by walking around!

Traditional and durable method used in crafting footwear. It involves stitching a welt (a strip of leather) to both the
upper and insole of the boot.
      ■ Just as cowboy boots were originally made by HYER in 1875, Goodyear welt is still the prime construction for
      well-made, long-lasting boots.
      ■ These 3/4 welt versions include wood pegs and nails, they both secure the hand-placed shank and add stability.

Yes, we offer free returns and exchanges for unworn items at HYER Boots.

        MY 6TH PAIR...THE CULVER!

The Culver from Hyer Boots were my 6th pair purchased from the brand since they relaunched. I already had the black pair, so I knew I'd love the chestnut! The roughout leather is super soft yet tough enough for all the elements.

Of course, like all their other boots they're incredibly comfortable. They have specially designed removable insoles but the boots were made so you can choose to wear them with or without them! I typically wear them without the insole for more of a classic cowboy boot feel.

I have purchased 9 pairs from the Hyer after learning about the history of the brand & have been super excited for their upcoming releases... If you're on the fence, I'd highly reccomend Hyer Boots! They make an incredible boot that relies on superior craftsmanship to ensure they will last no matter if you're working on a ranch or wearing them to an office.

        Great Cowboy Boot.

I have around 24 pairs of cowboy boots. I wear them daily. I knew nothing about HYER boots. I love these boots. I’m waiting for another model to become available! I’m already ready for a second pair. I love the HYER story too! Great boots!

        Unmatched comfort meets durability

I've worn cowboy boots for nearly 40 years now, mostly from a couple of the top name brands over the last two decades, and I've never been compelled to write a review until now. First of all, the build quality and workmanship is undeniable when you pick them up, which I'll come back to, but it was the comfort and support as soon as I slid my foot in that drove me to buy my first pair of Hyers. I recently did some traveling from TX to Europe and Scandavia. I didn't really have room to pack boots and was reluctant to wear them on such a long trip but decided at the last minute to go ahead and slide them on. Wore them to and from throughout multiple hour flights, 4-5 hour airport layovers and a 26 hour door to door trip home through 3 airports. I never took them off and my feet never got tired or sore. Unbelievable....never would have been the case with any of my other boots. I've been trying to keep these nice, but it's hard to keep them off my feet. I'm afraid the rough out is going to get rougher as they become my every day boot, and they will find there way into the stirrups soon. The good news is, coming back to the build quality, I have no doubt they will handle they every day wear like a champ. Can't say that for some of the other "top" brands. Keep up the great work. I can't wait to add a few more pair to my collection!
