BULLHIDE
You play with the bull, you get the horns….. well maybe not the horns so much in this case, but you for sure get the toughness and reliability of one of the most durable hides on the market. With new tanning techniques, you get all the durability of this great article with the softness and easy break in of lighter weight leathers.

CARE
Regular cleaning and conditioning will help cowhide boots last longer. Be sure to let boots dry after exposure to wet and muddy conditions. Use a horsehair boot brush or a clean damp cloth to remove debris before cleaning and conditioning the leather. We recommend Bickmore’s Bick 4 Leather Conditioner.

      SINCE 1875

THE INVENTOR OF THE COWBOY BOOT

In 1875, a rancher walked into C.H. Hyer’s cobbler shop after a long cattle drive. He asked C.H. to build him a better shoe for spending long days in the saddle.

The result? C.H. created a purpose-built boot with a tapered toe, raised heel, tall shaft, and a scalloped opening. The unmistakable silhouette known around the world as the Cowboy Boot.

      All your Boot Questions Answered

Choose your normal shoe size. HYER boots fit true to US sizing.
      ■ Be conscious of your sock – thin or thick. This can make a difference when trying on boots.
      ■ In between sizes - we recommend the ½ size larger.
      ■ Narrow foot – we recommend to either size down or choose your true size in regular width (size B for women’s and size D for men’s).
      ■ Wide foot – we recommend to either size up or choose the wide widths available (size C for women’s, and size EE for men’s).
      ■ Your size should fit the same across all silhouettes.

The fit of our styles are traditional and straightforward. There should be very slight resistance when pulling them on
and zero resistance once you’re “through the turn”.
      ■ You should feel slippage in the heel area and comfortable conformity in the instep.
      ■ Both toe profiles are most common and stylish today in authentic western and the most comfortable for everyday use.
      ■ These styles were made for the working cowboy and cowgirl while keeping modern function and diverse use in mind.
      ■ HYER boots fit true to size. When deciding what size, you should go off your normal shoe size.

Please refer to our Fit & Size Guide

It is best to try boots on carpet so that the soles do not scuff should you need to return.
      ■ Slip your foot into the boot. You should feel a POP when your heel slides past the counter and onto the insole.
      ■ Validate the heel lift. You should be able to lift your heel but not a whole lot. The leather will shape to your heel and hold it in place over time.
      ■ The ball of your foot should hit the widest section of the boot for added comfort.
      ■ Your arch should feel a bit snug. The leather will stretch as the boot forms to your foot.
      ■ Check the flawless fit and comfort by walking around!

Traditional and durable method used in crafting footwear. It involves stitching a welt (a strip of leather) to both the
upper and insole of the boot.
      ■ Just as cowboy boots were originally made by HYER in 1875, Goodyear welt is still the prime construction for well-made, long-lasting boots.
      ■ These 3/4 welt versions include wood pegs and nails, they both secure the hand-placed shank and add stability.

Yes, we offer free returns and exchanges for unworn items at HYER Boots.

Just bought a pair of the kincaid boots yesterday. Own total of 3 pairs of Hyer boots. These are absolutely amazingly comfortable and the hybrid soles are the best for comfort and traction. Highly recommend these boots

Great boot! The fit is perfect. The hybrid outsole with long wear zone provides the right amount of traction while still feeling like leather. Hyer boots are my new favorite. The history and story of the company is also amazing.

        Great boot

Best boot I have worn. Comfortable in the barn in the pasture or the round pin. Love this pair of boots and I’m on my feet 14-16 hours every day. Keep up the great work and I will keep buying them I believe this is pair number 6. I will never purchase another brand of boots

        Nice

I was hesitating about getting a pair of Hyers for sometime. Glad I pulled the trigger. They do run a bit big.

My last pair. They stretched considerably after just few wears. One of the boots is so uncomfortable due to shaft in the arch. The Mexican boot doesn’t compare to my American made boots.
