Handcrafted from premium leathers like cowhide and bison, with a 13” shaft, cutter toe, and 1 ½” underslung cutter heel, the McCune offers a timeless look and will ride out the years. Its smooth leather outsole features an exclusive HYER Long Wear Zone, where the boot typically rubs against the stirrup (or the ground for those who participate). No more peeling or torn up outsoles; this exclusive, ultra-durable zone moves and feels like leather, on the ground or in the saddle. The McCune is around for the long haul, whether trailing cows, branding calves, or chasing titles under the arena lights.

COWHIDE
Full grain cowhide sets the bar for all premium cowboy boots. The natural fibers and heavier weight of the skin make the boots perform like iron in the toughest conditions while providing softness and comfort to the wearer.

CARE
Regular cleaning and conditioning will help cowhide boots last longer. Be sure to let boots dry after exposure to wet and muddy conditions. Use a horsehair boot brush or a clean damp cloth to remove debris before cleaning and conditioning the leather. We recommend Bickmore’s Bick 4 Leather Conditioner.

      All your Boot Questions Answered

Choose your normal shoe size. HYER boots fit true to US sizing.
      ■ Be conscious of your sock – thin or thick. This can make a difference when trying on boots.
      ■ In between sizes - we recommend the ½ size larger.
      ■ Narrow foot – we recommend to either size down or choose your true size in regular width (size B for women’s and size D for men’s).
      ■ Wide foot – we recommend to either size up or choose the wide widths available (size C for women’s, and size EE for men’s).
      ■ Your size should fit the same across all silhouettes.

The fit of our styles are traditional and straightforward. There should be very slight resistance when pulling them on
and zero resistance once you’re “through the turn”.
      ■ You should feel slippage in the heel area and comfortable conformity in the instep.
      ■ Both toe profiles are most common and stylish today in authentic western and the most comfortable for everyday use.
      ■ These styles were made for the working cowboy and cowgirl while keeping modern function and diverse use in mind.
      ■ HYER boots fit true to size. When deciding what size, you should go off your normal shoe size.

Please refer to our Fit & Size Guide

It is best to try boots on carpet so that the soles do not scuff should you need to return.
      ■ Slip your foot into the boot. You should feel a POP when your heel slides past the counter and onto the insole.
      ■ Validate the heel lift. You should be able to lift your heel but not a whole lot. The leather will shape to your heel and hold it in place over time.
      ■ The ball of your foot should hit the widest section of the boot for added comfort.
      ■ Your arch should feel a bit snug. The leather will stretch as the boot forms to your foot.
      ■ Check the flawless fit and comfort by walking around!

Traditional and durable method used in crafting footwear. It involves stitching a welt (a strip of leather) to both the
upper and insole of the boot.
      ■ Just as cowboy boots were originally made by HYER in 1875, Goodyear welt is still the prime construction for well-made, long-lasting boots.
      ■ These 3/4 welt versions include wood pegs and nails, they both secure the hand-placed shank and add stability.

Yes, we offer free returns and exchanges for unworn items at HYER Boots.
