COWHIDE
Full grain cowhide sets the bar for all premium cowboy boots. The natural fibers and heavier weight of the skin make the boots perform like iron in the toughest
conditions while providing softness and comfort to the wearer.

CARE
Regular cleaning and conditioning will help cowhide boots last longer. Be sure to let boots dry after exposure to wet and muddy conditions. Use a horsehair boot brush or a clean damp cloth to remove debris before cleaning and conditioning the leather. We recommend Bickmore’s Bick 4 Leather Conditioner.

      SINCE 1875

THE INVENTOR OF THE COWBOY BOOT

In 1875, a rancher walked into C.H. Hyer’s cobbler shop after a long cattle drive. He asked C.H. to build him a better shoe for spending long days in the saddle.

The result? C.H. created a purpose-built boot with a tapered toe, raised heel, tall shaft, and a scalloped opening. The unmistakable silhouette known around the world as the Cowboy Boot.

      All your Boot Questions Answered

Choose your normal shoe size. HYER boots fit true to US sizing.
      ■ Be conscious of your sock – thin or thick. This can make a difference when trying on boots.
      ■ In between sizes - we recommend the ½ size larger.
      ■ Narrow foot – we recommend to either size down or choose your true size in regular width (size B for women’s and size D for men’s).
      ■ Wide foot – we recommend to either size up or choose the wide widths available (size C for women’s, and size EE for men’s).
      ■ Your size should fit the same across all silhouettes.

The fit of our styles are traditional and straightforward. There should be very slight resistance when pulling them on
and zero resistance once you’re “through the turn”.
      ■ You should feel slippage in the heel area and comfortable conformity in the instep.
      ■ Both toe profiles are most common and stylish today in authentic western and the most comfortable for everyday use.
      ■ These styles were made for the working cowboy and cowgirl while keeping modern function and diverse use in mind.
      ■ HYER boots fit true to size. When deciding what size, you should go off your normal shoe size.

Please refer to our Fit & Size Guide

It is best to try boots on carpet so that the soles do not scuff should you need to return.
      ■ Slip your foot into the boot. You should feel a POP when your heel slides past the counter and onto the insole.
      ■ Validate the heel lift. You should be able to lift your heel but not a whole lot. The leather will shape to your heel and hold it in place over time.
      ■ The ball of your foot should hit the widest section of the boot for added comfort.
      ■ Your arch should feel a bit snug. The leather will stretch as the boot forms to your foot.
      ■ Check the flawless fit and comfort by walking around!

Traditional and durable method used in crafting footwear. It involves stitching a welt (a strip of leather) to both the
upper and insole of the boot.
      ■ Just as cowboy boots were originally made by HYER in 1875, Goodyear welt is still the prime construction for well-made, long-lasting boots.
      ■ These 3/4 welt versions include wood pegs and nails, they both secure the hand-placed shank and add stability.

Yes, we offer free returns and exchanges for unworn items at HYER Boots.

These boots were great from the time I first put them on! I was so glad to not have to go through the "breaking them in" phase. I am not one to wear boots all day, but since having the Leawood boots, my footwear has changed to cowgirl all day. Love this style that comes with the classy look!

They feel like I’m wearing HeyDudes all day long! I work for Cavender’s Boot City so I am constantly on my feet on concrete floors. 10000% I would recommend any of the Hyer Boot products!!

Super comfortable even out of the box, let alone once they are broken in. They seem very durable and they are extremely well made. These are now my daily boot for working with my horses and doing errands.

I really like the look of the Leawood and needed some black boots for dressing up. They were true to size according to the measurement tips given by Hyer.

        Beautiful boot

This is a beautiful boot! I got the dark brown. I ordered my usual size 6.5 M. I wore them around the house for three days and it was still difficult to grt them off. They were comfortable with what seemed like the right amount of room in the toe box and foot bed and fit like they should according to the sizing information. I removed the comfy insole, but my foot was moving all around. After what seemed like the right break in period I decided to wear them to the barn and riding it turned out to be a big mistake. I was on my feet for 5-6 hours and they were so tight and my feet hurt so bad! Huge struggle getting them off! They look even better with some wear on them, but for those long days on my feet the Ariat Heritage Roper is the clear winner. Maybe the wide would have been better, but it wasn’t available and followed the sizing info.

Loved them so much I bought both colors!

I absolutely love these boots! The robin’s egg color is so pretty and unique, and the black is a great everyday option. They’re comfortable, well made, and have the perfect western style without being over the top. I loved them so much after getting the first pair that I went back and bought them in the other color too. That pretty much says it all! Definitely recommend these!

        Y’all…

These boots are the best boots I’ve ever worn and you don’t feel like if you wear them, they’re gonna need to be re-soled in a month. They are stunning, comfy, and are made to last. Take all my money..,
